“College/University colors with a twist: dress for success at your alma mater, but give it a Scout twist! This week we’re offering some of our suggestions for thinking and styling out of the box, and we just can’t get enough of ‘logo-wear’! We’re starting with Georgetown University and its navy & white combo… Georgetown is ‘city’ yet still totally has that ‘campus’ feel, and the perfect city-collegiate look is the peacoat – it’s timeless, but with a twist.

PEACOAT PICKS: from left to right, this Textile by Elizabeth and James Sadie Peacoat is a cropped version with decorative buttons; Coach’s Paige Peacoat is also cropped but with the unexpected addition of black leather trim and a plaid collar underneath; this Paul by Paul Smith Navy Peacoat is classic with the nice little twist of a zipper on the coat’s right side; Delia’s Devin Military Coat is an inexpensive and chic staple to have in your closet; finally, J. Crew’s Perennial Peacoat is classic yet modern with its formal collar and sleek structure.

DENIM & ACCESSORIES: from left to right, MiH’s Marakkesh Jean in Christie will pair fantastically with Jimmy Choo’s Yen Suede Biker Boot; Scout’s Pocket Rocket in True Brit complements the preppy style of Georgetown’s students, while functioning perfectly as your go-to ‘book bag’; pair Joe’s Micro-Flare Skinny Fit Jean with Jimmy Choo’s Hunter Rubber Biker Rainboot, a cool, slightly ‘tougher’ look to wear with your Pocket Rocket.
