Yo Deb readers, welcome to the eighth installment of our weekly newsflash for all things up-and-coming, ‘Wednesday Obsessions’. We are excited to bring you the latest info on people, places and things being discussed around the world and around the world wide web. Start following us to receive an email each week when a new W.O. post is published!

OUR FAVORITE PLACES TO REGISTER FOR A WEDDING:

-This couple registered at John Derian in NYC, and you should consider having your guests purchase from this chic boutique, too! John Derian’s stores, the Home Goods store and the Dry Goods store have exactly what the unique decorator wants – from crisp white terracotta pottery from Astier de Villate to classic prints from artist Hugo Guiness.

-we often feature Fishs Eddy kitchen products on the blog, so it’s only fitting that you can register for that same kitchenware for your wedding! we love tons of pieces from Fishs Eddy, but to name a ‘top 5′, look to this purveyor for printed glass tumblers, kitschy serving utensils and trays, dish towels and dishes, as well as a selected assortment of beautiful vintage pieces.

-another Yo Deb staple is Jonathan Adler for his brightly colored and always good-spirited home decor… register for throws and blankets, for pop-inspired canisters and for custom needlepoint pillows; we are recently most loving his table linens, found here.

-Barneys New York is especially known for high fashion clothing, but have you ever opened the stylish Pandora’s Box that is the Home section? Absolutely browse here for chic extras that would fit perfectly in all ‘fashionista’ homes! we love any of the vases from designer Tracy Glover for a small pop of color on a coffee table.

-similar to the Barneys gift registry and just as aesthetically appealing is the bridal salon & registry at Bergdorf Goodman; in our fantasy bride/groom scenario we’d craft thank you notes to guests on Bernard Maisner hand-painted snake cards…

-in the last of the NYC home stores we are longtime fans of go-to establishment ABC Carpet and Home, which houses uncommon ethnic and vintage goods alike, made in pieces from large furniture to small picture frames… a perfect color contrast to the Astier de Villate white terracotta pottery from John Derian would be the black Zani & Zani colander from ABC Carpet and Home.

-a favorite designer of one of our employees hand-blows glass and pottery, called Simon Pearce, a chic company based in Vermont… find classic to modern pieces that will look good in today’s home and will continue to fit stylishly years from now, even if your aesthetic may have changed. Simon Pearce bowls and stemware would be our standby choices.

LAST, BUT NEVER LEAST…

Although the Bungalow brands SCOUT and FoFlor don’t necessarily have places to register for your wedding, we have some great products that fit the bride and groom bill for a life soon to be lived ‘happily ever after’… pair SCOUT‘s Junque Trunk in Ombre Charles with FoFlor‘s Brick Springfield Large Rug; the SCOUT Trash Cache in Barbara Stripesand Blue would be another great addition to the home, especially alongside FoFlor‘s A New Shore Area Rug!

  1. An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a coworker who had
been conducting a little research on this. And he actually ordered me breakfast
because I discovered it for him… lol. So let me
reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending some time to discuss this
matter here on your web site.
