Season’s greetings to some of the most intense, thoughtful, and passionate star signs on the block. We’ve got water, fire, earth, and air on deck, and I’ve got to be honest, these particular gift guides have taken a lot out of me. Each of you are so different and have so much in store for your cosmic holiday season, it took a couple of stiff cups of joe to keep up. So, let’s get jiggy with it, because these ‘scopes aren’t going to unveil themselves!
Hello, holidays, horoscopes, and an array of beautiful excuses to TREAT YOURSELVES. We’re embracing a big, beautiful transition to Scorpio new moon on November 8th by kicking off the spirited season with horoscopes and—duh duh duh!—presents, presents, and more presents. While I’ve been scouring Susan Miller’s Astrology Zone, Deb has been meditating, sage-ing, and shopping for coordinating holiday gifts to leave you absolutely starry-eyed and surprised. Come, my lunar cuties, it’s time to unwrap your star-girl energies…
It’s western wedding weekend, y’all, and we struck gold *bites gold coin and winks.* The Johns and I scoured the Sundance Fall/Winter 2018 Catalog and ordered our mountain-chic wears for the destination wedding weekends of a lifetime. Weddings are (almost) always memorable but there’s just something special, dare I say, “electric,” about celebrating your dearest friends tying the knot out in those wide open spaces. I guarantee, the natural splendor and romance of it all will have you belting, “I SHOULD’VE BEEN A COWBOY. I should’ve learned to rope and ride…”
Everyone loves food (and Raymond). Boys like food. Girls like food. I like food. We all like food. Nothing brings people together like a great meal (and great drinks), especially on crisp and crunchy fall evenings. At times when the world feels a little freaky, and we all just need a fat glass of vino, or delicious vegan tacos, or Oreo gems, or positive words, there’s only one thing the doctor calls for: a get together with a solid group of gals.
It’s wedding SZN in America, babies. We’re taking a moment to get real, from a guest's perspective, with all the brides to be out there. We love y’all, we cherish y’all, and we are thrilled to be there to dance with your single cousin, Nielson, all night long. We’re honored to dive for bouquets and tear that dance floor UP, but you gotta help us get there. So, today we’re talking wedding welcome bags with the OG wedding attendant, DWJstyle. She’s done a beauty 360 and packed three of our Tiny Packages with all kinds of legit wedding loot, so you don’t have to act like a fool on Pinterest all Saturday.
The dash a digi' and schedule is busy. Better get ready for Europe with Debbie. It’s time to: Work work work work work work work work work work work work work work work work work. If you don't speak Rebecca after five K-Cups, allow me to translate: Deb's back from the Europe times, and we've got a lot to download. So, sit down, shut it, and swig as much of this style sauce as you can. Ello and arrivederci, babies, it's Milan and London time.
I would be remiss to choose one, specific theme to elaborate on everything that’s happening in fashion for 2018/2019. Yikes, that reads like the thesis for a term paper on the selected works of William Faulkner due Monday morning at nine, but you conveniently waited to start it on Sunday at 6 PM. But, seriously, you can’t put the overarching theme of the upcoming season in a box, folks, so try to keep an open mind and closet. There’s going to be comebacks from a couple different eras, like the’60s,’80’s,’90s, and maybe even, like, the Gold Rush (I’ve seen some western wares that make me want to yell, “Yee-freakin-HAW!”).
Last week members of the Marketing Team shot our Spring Summer 2019 product in Austin, Texas. The super hip city played the ideal backdrop for next summer's collection of groovy new patterns. As fabulous and fun loving as these destination shoots may appear, it ain’t all glitz, glam, and brisket tacos. The photoshoot team has to transport over 150 pieces of SCOUT product. Over the years, we've tried every packing solution, and there’s nothing as efficient as the 4 Boys Bag. If you're headed to the Lone Star State, you better be packin’ heat and bring a bag with some Texas-level bandwidth.
Visualization is, quite literally, what dreams are made of and can be an incredibly useful and entertaining tool, especially when planning a celebration of your own. First we visualize, then we start preparing. And, if there’s anyone who knows how to turn party dreams into realities, it’s lil’ Deb Waterman Johns. She’s hot off the party planning skillet after hosting the 14th Annual Go Bo! rager at her home in Georgetown last weekend. Trust me y'all, hosting is a habit, so you're gonna wanna get like Deb.
