SWEATERS IN THE RUMP ROOST

At left, SCOUT Rump Roost in Def Leopard.

Clockwise from top left: Zara Woman Cable Knit Sweater – a cozy, cropped knit with an even cozier collar; The Row Lullingstone Cardigan – the ‘blanket’ sweater – so great to have for those of us in temperate climates – it doubles as a coat! Anthropologie Neo-Fairisle Cardigan – perfect weekendwear, and nothing says ‘cold weather’ like fairisle and toggles; Leroy & Pepper Double-Breasted Button Cardigan – the cardigan-meets-blazer is perfect over a fitted tee after-hours or over wide-leg trousers and pumps for business hours; O’2nd Multicolor Knit Cable Sweater – we’re wanting to see more from O’2nd after spotting this cool pullover at Barneys! Zara Woman Leopard Print Sweater – the v-neck sweater gets a feminine edge with a spot-on leopard print.

JEANS IN THE JUNQUE TRUNK

At right, SCOUT Junque Trunk in Grape Gatsby.

From left to right: Haute Hippie Washed Floral Skinny Jeans – wear a black button down tucked-in with a brass-hued belt, oh so chic; Citizens of Humanity Avedon Skinny Jeans – we are completely captivated by the mysterious print on these jeans and we encourage any fashionista to post a shot of herself wearing them on SCOUT’s Facebook page – we want to see how YOU style them! Alice + Olivia 5 Pocket Skinny Jeans – almost in a clay neutral tone, these would look fantastic with go-to black or brightened up with white; Sass & Bide Super Base Metallic Jeans – can’t you hear that ‘boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom, bass’? we think Nicki Minaj of ‘Super Bass’ would definitely style this pair with a neon cropped tee, so fun! J Brand Tie-Dye Skinny Jean – a sophisticated tie-dye in a soft indigo hue that will pair well with silver pumps; Rag & Bone Legging – another Deb obsession – ombre jeans! we say try it with graphic-printed sneakers.

This week on Yo Deb we encourage you to shift your fashion focus from neon- to neutral-hued pieces. We’ve got metallic, army surplus, white and black stories in which we provide you with our top 4-5 suggested summer separates, as well as several pairs of shoes and a SCOUT canvas piece to carry… Neon’s been having a great run, but we think it’s time for a sophisticated switch in style, so ditch the hot pink and plan some neutral outfits to pair with likeminded VaniLLa Bean!

SWAP SUMMER BRIGHTS FOR SUMMER WHITES:

Rag & Bone Leonard Pleated Crepe Dress; Ralph Lauren Nevis Sheer Jersey Doulbe-Layer Irina Ruffle Top; Valentino Silk-Blend Gazar A-Line Dress; H&M Blouse.

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday posts will cover your patriotic spirit from the beginning to the end of the season (Labor Day weekend, sigh), and don’t miss Wednesday Obsessions thrown into the beachy mix. Enjoy!
